Honey Sweetened Vanilla Custard
A creamy, nourishing treat perfect for restful sleep, afternoon cravings, or even soothing little ones.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup cream
  • 3 egg yolks + 1 whole egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2–3 tablespoons honey
  • Sprinkle of cinnamon or nutmeg (optional)
Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 340°F.
  2. Add all ingredients to a blender. Blend on low just until combined (avoid making it frothy).
  3. Pour mixture into 6–10 small oven-safe cups.
  4. Place cups in a deep baking dish. Fill the dish with hot water to reach about ⅔ up the sides of the cups.
  5. Bake for 45 minutes, or until custard is set and firm when tested with a toothpick.
  6. Let cool slightly. If slightly undercooked, leave cups in the hot water to finish setting.
Tips:
  • Skip the honey for babies under one year.
  • Great for a nighttime snack, or to ease sugar and caffeine cravings in the afternoon.
