Whipped Tallow

Instructions
  1. In a double boiler, gently melt the tallow and beeswax until fully liquid.
  2. Remove from heat and stir in the olive oil.
  3. Let the mixture cool until it starts to thicken but is not fully solid (slightly cloudy and soft).
  4. Add essential oils, if using.
  5. Whip with a hand mixer or stand mixer for 3–5 minutes until light and fluffy.
  6. Spoon into clean jars and allow to fully set.
Notes
  • For a softer balm, slightly reduce beeswax.
  • For a firmer balm (great for warmer climates), add a bit more beeswax.
  • Shelf stable when stored in a cool, dry place.
